Tennyson Dunes is a well known gay beach at West Lakes in Adelaide Australia.
Just a 25 minute train trip from Adelaide city centre. Hop on a train in Adelaide and its a just a 2 km walk down the beach to the dunes.
Wirld.com stopped off to take a look and even on a weekday there were plenty of guys making the most of the sunshine. The dunes are next to a huge beach but the gay area is in front of the dunes. As its close to the city its generally busy on the weekends and holidays.
After dark the dunes are a well known cruising area, but during the day its just a spot to get a tan and socialise in the sun.
Obviously its worth mentioning this is not a legally nudist beach and cruising is discouraged. The dunes themselves have been fenced off to restrict access and erosion. So if that's your thing stick to the paths and don't damage the dunes. As it is a well known cruising area as ever be careful as it can attract the "wrong" kind of crowd after dark.
Its a beautiful spot and well worth a visit if your in Adelaide. Have a wander through the dunes and you can see Painted Dragon Lizards (Ctenophorus Pictus ) and native Pig Face in flower (you can eat the fruit if your feeling adventurous !). We like to educate our readers lol!
